Writing Projects and Plans in 2026

Nightsaber47 writing.
My writing journey so far.

Writing plans 2026. Throughout my life, I’ve always written short stories here and there, starting when I was in school. Most of it was fan fiction, a genre mashup of manga, cartoons, and sci-fi shows I enjoyed back then.

It was not until COVID that I became more serious about writing and planned a story spanning several books. The first two in the series were “Downfall and From the Ashes,” which were self-published at the end of 2024.

I worked through 2025 on the other five installments of my series called “Evolution.” I completed book three. Book four is about three-quarters finished, and book five is about half-finished. However, being self-published and new to the industry, there is a lot to learn. I made a lot of mistakes along the way.

So, at the beginning of this year, 2026, I pulled both books. I will revise and edit them along with some minor rebranding. Concurrently I will go a different route as far as publishing them.

With that being said, here are my writing goals for the rest of 2026.

Publication and Sharing Plans

  • Re-release both “Evolution” series Book #1 and Book #2 first on Royal Road this summer and fall of 2026. And then publish on various ebook platforms (Kindle, iTunes, ect.) Physical books through (Ingramspark) but have not decided yet on that.

  •  Release Book #3 of the “Evolution” series in Spring 2027 and Book #4 in Summer 2027. The plan is to release Book #5 in the winter of 2027.

  • Continue to release short stories and novellas that tie into the “Evolution” series on Royal Road.

Multiple Genre Exploration

  • Writing a dystopian future novel. Will be fan-based fiction paying homage to Steve Jackson’s Car Wars and the dystopian films and books of my youth from the 1970-80’s.

  • Continue to develop other science fiction, space opera, and cyberpunk short stories with interconnected themes.

  • Crafting a romance novel with cyberpunk elements to blend the genres.

Expanding Creative Boundaries

  • Experimenting with narrative techniques and storytelling styles.

  • Incorporating diverse characters and complex relationships.

  • Integrating bioengineering with advanced technology themes with emotional depth.

Themes and Inspirations Behind Projects

  • Exploring technology’s impact on human connections and emotions.

  • The tension between dystopian societal control and individual freedoms, and the human condition.

  • Romantic relationships shaped by bio-engineered humans and digital advances, and cybernetic worlds.

I will try to update my plan for the rest of the year each quarter with the progress of each piece of work on my social feeds and more detailed information on the blog on my website.

Thanks for your support and kind words. I appreciate it.
